I would take Alvarez in a heartbeat. He also would have scored more goals if he was leading the line and wasn't used as an attacking midfielder for most of last season. He's ready to explode for a team who will build their attack around him.

Lots of rumours on Twitter about Liverpool trying hard for Zubimendi, surely if they are pushing the player might be interested in joining? We've been tracking him for ages and it sounded like we couldn't convince him to leave Spain so would be one hell of a transfer if Liverpool pull it off.

Why is it that everyone always exaggerates the price we pay, underplays the prices we sell at, and shrugs when other clubs make bad deals? It's just so frustrating to read. We did not pay 50m pounds for Jesus.

I also don't think he's better than Jesus, and I don't rate Jesus very highly.

Atleti have made about 21m in sales, and have brought in Le Normand for 34m and Sorloth for 32m. Plus talk of Gallagher for around 30m, and now Alvarez for up to 95m. Something weird is going on there.

Atleti paying big for Alvarez is no shock though. He's a quality player that City won't have been keen to sell. He played most of their season last year and they did quite well. He scored and assisted well even when played deep. We paid almost the same for Havertz who's older, scores less and was coming off some really poor seasons.

Qwiss we paid total £65m. They’re paying up to £82m. That’s 25% more all in. Much more.
I think City manage their team well overall, but along with the FSR accounting tricks earlier this summer from Villa and Chelsea, this smells off.

Yeah, but you'd reckon Havertz would be on the block for just as much or more if we were putting him up for sale this summer.

If Havertz is able to continue his form and output from the second half of last season, while also playing a modern all round game, he'll have to be considered one of the world's very best. Here's hoping.

I think Solanke gets you around 20 goals in the league each year, that is not bad at all. Now is that worth 60 or whatever they want? Who knows. Spurs will sell Richarlison who is shit and never scores for 60 to Saudis and get Solanke for that money, thats good.

Like I said before we worked hard on getting him for a while now and not had much luck so I'd be surprised if Liverpool can convince him. One hell of a signing for them if they manage to pull it off.

Michael Edwards was one of the best operators in the transfer market during his last stint at Liverpool. This is why I'm quite curious about this because that guy doesn't mess around and if this is leaking I worry they might be able to pull this off.
