I always thought he was way underrated here. He is awkward on the ball but when it comes to defending and 1v1 he is always spot on. Still remember his MOTM performances in the FA Cup semis. Very much maligned

It's unfortunate when you end up with one, but sometimes good players moving to good clubs just doesn't work out. Doesn't necessarily mean that the move was wrong, and I don't even think it's necessarily wrong for a manager to persist through some difficult times in the hope of turning a corner with someone, though in hindsight it's easy to point a finger and say it should have been cut short sooner. I quite liked Gabriel in his time here.
