JazzG I don't know if that's necessarily hypocrisy. Even last summer it would have been unthinkable that there would be three £100m plus bids for Paqueta, Rice and Caicedo. The market has moved so much in such a short space of time.

I'm a bit sickened by it all. I had a mate asking me about my thoughts the Mbappe rumours a few weeks back. I don't care how good he is, even for the best in the world I can't find any enthusiasm, excitement or appeal when the money is so ridiculous and the egos are bigger still.

Tam It is a multi billion pound business, if anything when you compare to other sports footballers don't get paid as much. Clubs like Chelsea & Utd have fucked up the market. If Enzo doesn't move for £100m in January we buy Rice for £30m less imo. Idiots throwing about money who don't know what they're doing. Then the Saudi's getting involved on top it has fucked the market big time.

Klopp loves playing up to the idea he's a socialist while making £10m a year and frowning at other clubs paying big. He forgets how much he spent for Van Dijk & Alisson. Guy gets a free ride from the Liverpool friendly media.

Clrnc that is so unprofessional. Some speculation on twitter that Pool bid 111 million because Chelsea can't exceed a 110 bid due to FFP. Dipping on the Adams deal could explain that theory further but sounds made up.
JazzG Van Dijk, Allison, Nunez and a steady drip of 50 million pound players. Can't be overlooked.

good. was a stupid move for tyler anyway. he needs to play football. all these american players want to be able to say they play for a club that other americans might know about since only the big clubs matter.

This has been a major distortion to the market. Previously ageing stars that would have seen their contract out have suddenly been shipped out.

No way Liverpool would have been able to get rid of Henderson and Fabinho over this summer and then fund Caicedo without the Saudis

Both Caicedo and Lavia are pretty meh. Think it’s a case of there not being any elite mids left on the market so they’re being hyped to the moon.

They ain’t on the level of guys like Camavinga, Rice, Casemiro, Rodri, Partey and the likes

Lavia is a bit Camavingary. Has that bouncy energy. Only 19 and knows how to use his body to receive the ball and turn out of situations in an elite way.

His potential is higher than Caicedo who despite being and excellent ball winning player is fairly basic with his progressive play.

Caicedo definitely is. Lavia has potential but he's not on that level yet.
