Looks like Arteta and Edu were right to move on. Think Chelsea are being a bit cheeky all the same, they know these bids aren't enough. Coming in with aa offer that was rejected 6 month ago, when he was less PL proven and didn't have his new deal, was never a good play.

I also think they're taking a tough approach as Chelsea are not listening to any offers for Colwill. Which is fair enough, they'll be more flexible if there is a player involved otherwise full price.

I would say he's talented but still raw in many aspects. Reminds me of Patrick Schick. He scored like 9 goals in Serie A last year. Not anywhere close to being worth up to 85m euros at this moment.

Vlahovic looked more interesting and physically ready (and cheaper) when he was sold.

think Bryant's comparison is a good one for partial gauge on how good he is. This imminent deal does go a bit in convincing me that 50 million GBP is a conversation starter for Balogun.

I wishlisted Hojlund few months ago and posted his highlight reels when many said he looks like shit. I think he's talented but certainly not worth more than 50m, let alone 85m

Clrnc I agree. At the beginning of this transfer window, I had wishlisted him as our GJ backup but didn't envisage Chelsea going for him as their main striker.

Just not that many strikers about anymore. What I wouldn't give to have someone like a prime Batistuta in this team. He would feast and even outscore Haaland for one.

Don't even want to mention Thierry because then it would just be unfair on the whole of football.
