It feels like the market is resetting at higher prices this summer. It’s weird because we are still mid cycle with TV rights. Could be an outcome of this expanded champions league and trickle down effects.

I can get it, kind of. If you squint hard, blur your vision, sit far from the screen and play the best Tonali compilation at 1.5x speed there are maybe some similarities between the two.

Coombs Think Rice is a good comparison as far as profile is concerned. People thought we were getting rinsed too when we signed him and now he looks like a bargain. It's gonna be the same with Anderson I reckon, bloke's just too good. Tuchel knows it, City know it.

I think the same. His numbers are too ridiculous. Most ball touches, progressive passes and recoveries in the league last season IIRC.

daredevil in a team that plays deep on the counter. Teams like City and Arsenal win and control the ball further up the pitch. Less opportunity for progression and harder to recover. We'll see, I guess.

He might be worth it for City, but it'll be interesting to see if City are worth it for him. I'm not saying City will definitely struggle but if they glide into the post-Pep era without missing a beat it'll be a rarity.
