It was his decision to jump at Madueke with a hard on, instead of holding his horse and asking for someone better.
There's so many different ways this could have played out.
We could have signed Eze to play on the left who would have provided the added benefit of proofing against Odegaard (along with Trossard), whille keeping Nwaneri on the right.
We could have signed an outright left winger and had Martinelli/Trossard as right wing cover.
Look I don't think Madueke will flop - he will be good I hope, but we don't need good, we need something great. He's not that and on the left he looks like he will be spending 6 months just to learn how to position his body.
