Honestly not sure why folks are so obsessed with what others are doing. We should not go into any summer window focused on anyone else's needs but ours. We have identified and addressed a bulk of the issues concerning our team. Including the left wing if Madueke is seen as the solution out there by Arteta and his team. As fans we will never agree 100% with their decisions, but if you were so concerned with their affairs, hey, buy the club. Or even better, instead of making bets with Burnwinter, send a check to Berta labeling it "towards purchase of superior left winger", and fill in your suggestions of the names of this player you so desperately want.
If we are done in the market, it means we think we have what we need to challenge for and win major honors this term, and if so, I'm looking forward to seeing it, let's go. If we do not, if we fail, well, it falls on Arteta and Berta. They've been backed and they bear responsibility now.
For the record I still do expect us to bring in Eze (or someone in that mold as I see our major issue now as being one related to creativity from midfield not left wing productivity/options, especially in the event of major injury to Odegaard) but even if we do not (and Arteta is counting on Nwaneri to make the step up, which is his call and prerogative), I think this squad is solid enough as it is to win a trophy or two this year. After all a manager's job is to manage his team to get the most out of what he's got, and not to assemble galacticos 2.0.
