Meatwad I'd probably trade Gyok and Madueke for Isak. Though I do think its going to be close between the 2 Swedes next season. I would take Gyok and Eze over just Isak though. And TBH I'm kind of hoping Madueke surprises me too.

TBH I'm not that worried about what anyone else is doing as long as we get the players we need and if we get these 3 deals done this week then I don't really care what Liverpool do. If we get Eze as well as that then forget about it, we'll be as good as anyone.

I don't really see it this way. Of course City could also suddenly be a threat, but if we see it as a battle between Liverpool and Arsenal, Liverpool not improving helps us as much as us improving. Points relative to each other is all that matters.

Sicario2 Controversial but I'd want Isak, I love Eze and we need someone like him but Isak is the one man. Just sign Isak and sign Eze on a loan with obligation out of next years budget. We spent fuck all last year, they can find a way to make it work.

I've been this saying for a while. People keep talking about Newcastle and them not needing to sell, but I'm looking at Isak being happy spending his prime years at a nothing club and not forcing a move. I suspect he thought Newcastle would push on like City but they haven't, and he doesn't appear all that fussed about it. Can you imagine a Henry or an Anelka spending their prime years at Newcastle? I am a little surprised that he didn't respond favourably to our public overtures, and while it's commendable that he was professional, the best players are unprofessional as fuck when it comes to moving on and getting the best moves to the biggest clubs.

I prefer that Liverpool spend 90m on ekitike though. isak, salah and wirtz would be too much of a handful next season

We were never going to buy Isak for £120m when we have Havertz and can get a complementary player in Gyökeres for £60m. We were never going to buy Wirtz when we have Ødegaard. But I am going to be majorly pissed if we don’t get the best LW on the market this summer, and let him go to Liverpool.

diaz and nunez out, rodrygo and isak in is the kind of cut throat business that you can only tip your hat to if liverpool pull it off. remains to be seen if they pull it off, but they're definitely throwing down the gauntlet with their intentions

JazzG Haaland is a far better goal scorer but his overall game is not that good, last couple of seasons despite a decent number of goals that part of his game has become badly exposed. Isak has supreme link play and stick him in a side which creates as much watch him explode. The only thing that lets him down is his injury record and last season that got a lot better as well.

You could paste this exact text to defend Havertz vs. Haaland as well, but the latter is still the better striker.

those series of tweets from read like real madrid wants to create a bidding war (which they should). but usually in situations like this the player picks where he wants to go and real madrid have to deal with them not highest bidder wins.
