Hardly surprising. They squeaked into the CL, and even though they have a decent team, they are hardly going to be considered a high value destination for many players, no matter what Shearer thinks,
Also - i don't get the Jonathan David fascination.. I've seen him play plenty of times, he just seems like he's good against 'meh' teams, but for me, he would be like Lacazette (with more pace and less technique). Someone that thrives in a less difficult league, but would struggle a bit in a top league. And internationally, all but maybe 1 or 2 of his goals have all been against total shit CONCACAF teams (and i include the US in that group). One goal against Uruguay (which they still lost) and the rest are against crap teams.
