I wouldn’t get too bothered by missing out on Williams- he’s a good player but there are other options - some more suited
lorddulaarsenal who's your number one pick?
JazzG Yeah we've been linked to him but not like last summer where it was obvious he was our first choice and we were actively pursuing him.
Yeah, I don't remember that being true. What reliable reports were there then that we made any bid or had any proper discussions with either his team of club?
Big Willie There were a lot of stories floating around last summer that we were pushing hard for him but he was waiting for Barca who were struggling to offload or register players.
JazzG — I’d believe that.
He had a mediocre season and he will jeopardize his future wages if next season is similar.
Now is the time to move and secure the bag.
MistaT Supposedly his club willing to offer him more money if he stays but someone as talented as him needs to play on a higher level.
I like Williams but if players aren't excited to come here then move on.
Gazza M well, I'd rather buy Eze than Nico Williams, anyway. Kid is more proven in the league, supremely technical, physical, creative, more versatile, has end product, and has what seems like great character.
Coombs I'd take Eze too. We could get it done in a few weeks if we moved now, and that's the left wing/playmaker sorted for several years. He'd open up a lot more attacking combinations. Former Arsenal player too, let's bring the lad home.
Every time I see him playing for Palace or England I always think to myself: "He's way too good for these teammates." That thug Gibbs-White robbed him of the assist of the century against Senegal.
Coombs he’s also a top chess player. Would be able to figure out Mik’s system quickly
Robertson joining Trent in sunny Madrid!
FEBravo he's a decent player, but he did win Pogchamps, which is always good fun. Playing the KIA even makes his games pretty interesting.
Bakayoko is interesting at that price.
Asterix I'd rather get Dibling if that's the price. Duran is also quite interesting - good alternative to Sesko.
Rayan Cherki : “I’m more of an old school football guy thanks to my dad and brothers. Today’s game is less beautiful, fewer mistakes, but also fewer risks taken. I want to bring that spark back and give kids the joy it once had."
He's not going to enjoy his new workplace.
Qwiss "I want to bring back the spark and joy of good honest football, that's why I've signed for the Fossil Capital Football Geopolitical Influence Exchange"
I like what I've seen of Ekitike (I'm sure @jones has a good idea of his current level) but you have to wonder about United's recruitment this summer; there just seems to be too much risk involved. Cunha and Mbeumo were the two players who overperformed their xG the most in Premier League last season while Ekitike is the biggest xG underperformer in Bundesliga (should have had 8 more goals). Neither statistic is great although it's easy to improve on underperformance, especially if you're young.
Liverpool fans trying to hype this move as they think they'll then make a move for Isak.
