Just watched it up to our third goal … fuck we are good right now. Feel like we've been lively all game with very little sign of a World Cup hangover.
The penalty given to Bowen was a bit soft, but Saliba's challenge was not good enough if he's asking for £250k per week, it was reckless. But at the back it's been a good positive match for Ramsdale, who's made a couple of tricky moments feel like regulation stuff.
For our equaliser when it finally came, it was an amazing touch from Saka to turn Ødegaard's scuff into the perfect ball. After that things heated up, but if anything our composure and control tightened brutally, and it was a God tier finish from Martinelli, who showed with that superpower why he's actually worth his new wages. Wenger in the crowd acknowledging his quality, Martinelli is one player with whom he would've absolutely loved to have worked.
Other notes on viewing so far … it's a bit eerie that Tierney is now the less crocked of our fullbacks? Xhaka has been pretty influential but he's also in "nearly" mode where he's happy to have ideas and not actually execute them. Nketiah's goal was classy, if he can put in like that we'll do okay through Jesus's absence.
Feels amazing to have this Arsenal side back. We play brilliant football at the moment.
