Interesting. You can get the effect if you've got the post ID, just need to post it as (eg)

How to get the post ID, you ask? Why, there's nothing easier. Simply inspect the live DOM of the page for your locked thread, navigate to the outer <div> DOM element with class PostStream-item on the content of your preferred post, and that element's data-id attribute is the post ID as above—so this post is technically "quoting" itself.
