Coombs before anyone starts getting any ideas, my post was not an Arteta swipe.
Just stating that the guy found himself surplus to requirements at Southampton of all places and we swooped in to not only take him on loan for 6 months while he was injured but then decided to offer him a permanent deal for 4 more years in the summer. That's on us. He lucked the fuck out that we have him such a deal. Why give it all up unless forced?
