Canada did well but Croatia are a level above

Yeah. You can see a massive gap between these teams. Croatia were playing like a club team

Canada’s 4-4-2 was a bold move, and it looked great until it didn’t. But you can’t run a 2 man midfield with someone as old and static as Hutchinson. It really limited their ability to have any possession upfield, and the forwards didn’t recognize that they had to attack immediately, and not slow down play.

Lol, ok, that's it for Canada. 3-1 Kramaric again.

Well, Croatia is way more technically better of a team, and their superiority showed in the end.

Ugh, i would say that 4-1 flattered Coratia, but it really doesnt. Men v. boys in the end

The Canada coach was an idiot for his comments pre - game about how they were going ‘fuck Croatia up’. You do not say that to Balkan countries. Fired the wrong set of players up 😆

Canada’s best bet was going into the game with the Croats underestimating them or taking them lightly. Novice mistake by the Canadian coach.

Havertz benched.

Tough to see him floundering as teams don’t seem willing to build around him.

Croatia was a level above overall, disappointing for the Canadians but probably 4 years later their team at home will be a formidable team with experience.

The 2nd half was brutal. I sat at the Croat side and they were just attacking for fun, Canada team shape went too gung ho

I love how this Spain team plays under Enrique. He's a really fabulous coach.

Can’t believe none of these teams have a proper number 9.

Nice feed into the channel and smart finish from Morata. Ferran hasn't shown that kind of sharpness at the moment.

... soon as I say it, that was a poor finish by him

Indeed golden chance and equally could have squared it. First time I'm really watching him and can see why he's a club and national team starter. He's a bit like Draxler? unless thats a hasty likeness.

Probably plays at a higher level at 19 than Draxler ever reached though.

Ah fair. Draxler has never been able to walk the ascension either, more flattery. Though may have not made a difference.

Good enough result for the neutral! Any team from the group can still go through on Thursday.

Fullkrug is what Germany needs.

So I guess Germany will now aim for a big win against Costa Rica to secure their passage in case Japan draws

Cameroon, 1-0 up, could have made it 2-0 but are now 2-1 down. They had a chance on the break to score the second after winning the ball back high up and finding themselves with a 3 Vs 2.

Dude, somewhat understandable after winning the ball back himself, took the shot instead of passing, ball bounced back and he had a second chance. Took the shot again instead of passing and blazed it wide. A few minutes later Serbia equalise and then take the lead with both goals coming in injury time.

3-1. The African teams look poor with perhaps Morocco as the only exception.

This is the game of the tourney

Apparently Benzema could be back for France post group stages. That would be absolutely massive for them and the tournament!

André Onana apparently removed from Cameron's squad due to his unorthodox playing style and disagreements with the coach about it. 😆

Ghana v SK was amazing. What a match.

Second round has been top class, barely got any work done today.

Korea match was fantastic. Best game I have watched here in Qatar so far.

With a little more luck it could have been a draw. Kim MJ superb in defence but Partey controlled the game. Kudus was kudos

All the games I’ve missed this WC have been great (Portugal Ghana, the two today). I guarantee the game most ppl watch (Portugal Uruguay) will be 0-0/1-1.

Xhaka v Fred should be interesting before that though.

The games yesterday were mostly great too. Portugal Uruguay definitely sounds like a stinker in the making, expect lots of diving and gamesmanship

Such a shame Korea didn't tie the game. I was hoping Partey got his arse sent home.

Richarlison has his moments and might score today as well, but in general his donkeyness stands out in the forward line.

Xhaka meanwhile looks like a King among men in midfield

Nice goal from Casameiro

Quality of goals today has been wild
