Old, unreliable due to injuries, not good enough even when fit, on huge wages. Jorginho or Havertz playing in midfield isn't winning us anything anytime soon, we need to get a proper midfielder to partner and compliment Rice.

He's been a net negative influence this season. There's a variety of reasons he should go, any one of which on its own is enough but as a collective it will be negligent if he's kept on.

Think we did try to move him last summer, while dogshit players were going for good money we couldn't get one fucking Saudi club to give us a respectable offer. It sounded like we wanted to move on Lavia last summer but couldn't do so due to financial restrictions.

This summer even at a cut price deal we need to shift him, ideally we need to move Elneny as well and bring in two CMs this window.

For me the signing we need to fight and make is Frenkie De Jong, he's a game changer in midfield for us. Would be perfect if we could sign someone like Onana along with them if that is financially feasible.

JazzG I watched MOTD2 last night and after being shocked with how slow he was in the 2nd half it was really apparent how much quicker and more lively he was in the first half watching the highlights back. I don't know why Arteta didn't change him for Jorginho after an hour.

Qwiss Agreed, should have hooked him at 60 mins and even that is being generous. Actually think the game was much better suited for Jorginho to start but Partey came in to the game in good form so understand him starting.

If he can somehow get back to his better days form and sustain it for any meaningful stretch, we'll be golden. Doesn't seem to be very easy to find a top player with his skill-set.

I'm not counting on him being reliable though.

Hate to say it but he was good yesterday and if we eek out another season from him at his 22/23 level we will have a great chance at the league. Regular rotation with Jorginho and roll him out for 25/30 times for the tough aways, games against top 8 and latter stage CL.
