We should be moving Partey on this window: sell the player who's aging out, injury prone, not "clutch", has off field issues, right after the best season he's likely to have for us. Oh he's irreplaceable? Well that makes moving him on even more necessary.
We truly need the incomings from sales, because the next Partey level midfielder aged 23 or 24, let's say Tchouameni or Caicedo, is gonna cost us what Rice did or near enough.
