Putting aside the obvious, he's been gash the last few weeks. That's what we'll see more of going forward, not the better for that has some clamouring for and justifying an extended stay.

Awkward as fuck having him (rightly) booed by opposition fans each week too - y'know, the collection of people we are footballistically as Arsenal fans supposed to be united against. Had my 7 year old daughter asking me at one point this season why all the crowd were "making that noise when that person dribbles the ball" too, that was fun.

Sicario2 I reckon he'll go somewhere else for the money, he probably has one big contract in him.

Tam He won't be first choice if he was to stay but I do agree he is not the player he was, physically he has some good games whereas some games looks like he has lead in his boots.

Putting aside the allegations I get keeping him around for numbers but it would need to be on a lower wage or on appearance based contract which I don't think he'll accept. As a free agent he'll get big money offers and we shouldn't be matching those.

JazzG the issue is if we get rid of him we would need to fork out £50m for a replacement. Add that to our other priorities it’s easier to retain Thomas.

Sicario2 Naah don't need to spend that much, just get some good prospect for under £30m and we are sorted. Rice, Zubimendi, Merino with that type of player is enough.

Had enough. With the legal case, being injury prone and mistake prone and not getting any younger I think we should get rid.

Last 2 games were absolute disaster classes.

Sicario2 Yeah I'm not so sure man, we are bringing a senior starter in and should be investing in a good talent.

Sicario2 why are you so into this guy? He's proven a major point of failure in this years CL campaign and in last season league campaign (as well as everything else). Paying huge wages to a guy who spends half his time injured and makes costly errors in big games when he's not isn't a good plan to win trophies. Seems like you just want to back him because of the allegations and that's really quite weird.
