Burnwinter It's normal to have clauses in an employment contract that allow termination on far less than the standard of proof required in a criminal court.
It is if its public and you can claim damage to the clubs image but with the official anonymity here can they still terminate without paying him off? Obviously we don't have his contract but I suspect they can't.

Regardless of how well Partey plays for the rest of the season there is zero chance the club will renew his contract, that I am sure of.

Hate that this guy is a part of Arsenal FC. He is a good player, we would definitely be worse off this season without him - but I don't care. Just want him gone. Winning and results on the pitch is not everything.

What is interesting about Partey is that he seems completely unaffected by the allegations and often plays quite well in the weeks following a police interrogation. He must be a complete sociopath. I wonder how a professional organisation recruits such a person. Do we do no background checks at all?

Hopefully this is the nail in the coffin for the club to at least stop playing him. I understand it weakens us significantly on the field but enough is enough. Such a stain on the club to have this scumbag playing week in and week out.
samthegooner If we stop playing him before anything has been determined in court, alongside the rest of our on-field issues and the unlikelihood of signing anyone this window, then we might as well void the season and all come back in the summer.

Reports make it sound like the Met are declaring they're winding back their investigation ... so it seems just as likely they give up on prosecution as that charges are triggered.
My instinct is Partey will never face legal consequences. And given our history with this case I think he could be extended.
Sicario2 Maybe we deserve that fate for knowingly marching him out this whole time when everyone knew what he had done even if he wasn't getting formally charged.
