What's the deal lately with clubs wanting more for their players that don't work out than what they bought them for?

I'm used to prices rising if players do well, but this is fairly new. It's the same with Vlahovic - prices being talked about are more than what Juve bought him for. Surely when you buy a player a part of that amount is a chance you take on that player succeeding. If you're supposed to get your money back + more in the cases where they don't, every club should just be after every young player.

You're only in this sort of situation for the top crust players though. That's what the market is. So when you go in, you do so with the understanding that you will not likely come out with your morals (or wage structure) intact.

Panda The way I see it, Leao is the kind of player Mudryk can turn into if he fulfills his potential. With that in mind, how much would Milan demand for one who has already done so? I'm not familiar with their economic situation.

Gonna get just as excited as I was last winter if those rumours get any momentum. Supposedly we "are preparing" or "have lodged" a £71m bid.

Vlahovic could be a more decisive addition for these next 20 matches than just about anyone. Young, aggressive, distinct physique and attributes wise from every other forward we've got, would be great starting and great off the bench. Obviously hated Horseface, but he reminds me of him.

Wouldn't mind him in the summer either, but it'd be massive now.
