If Vlahovic is our top target and we think we'll make a saving by signing him now, then I think it's justifiable (best to avoid another Mudryk situation). If not, then I do still think we should be sticking with Eddie for now for the reasons previously discussed.

Juve have got to be vulnerable with the latest scandal and points deduction, and it's also fairly likely Vlahovic is disgusted with the situation and wants out. No reason to think it's on, but it feels less implausible now.

I imagine Dortmund can probably guarantee him a starting spot, so that could be our stumbling block. On the plus side, Super Mik can be very persuasive.

Just show him Zinchenko's match compilation against United and tell him this could be you. Should do the trick.

I mentioned it earlier elsewhere on the forum. I think Arteta is using Fresneda and Kiwior as a mirror of White and Zinchenko, so we can have the overlapping fullback on the left and the underlapping fullback on the right. And we can also mix and match as needed. Will be really helpful for Martinelli who is often completely isolated, for example. Will make us harder to plan against for mid table teams as well if they don’t know which side we will be weighted to.

HomeSteak Tierney is done I reckon. I'd be surprised if he's not available in the summer. In games that matter Tomi already starts ahead of him on the left when Zinchenko is injured.

Team long moved past Tierney. It’s good that our identity is so clear that the fans can easily evaluate current players and potential targets and say “yay” or “nay”. Notice how someone like Antony was a buzzy name, but nobody picked up on him as an Arsenal player.

I think Fresneda has the talent to play either a traditional outside back role with overlapping runs or also develop to play in an inverted role, a la Zinchenko. He looks very solid defensively but the composure on the ball under pressure is what has really caught my eye. To me, he has everything in his locker to be a world class outside back and is the type of signing that I think could propel the team to an even higher level once he starts to reach his potential in a couple of years. I won't be surprised if we are looking at a player who is valued at 50m+ in a year or two. Hope we are able to beat Dortmund to him.
