Not sure we'd pay that sort of money even if we were already in UCL and won the EPL - smacks of Pepe mk2 in so much as Pepe's numbers looked better in terms of goals.
As most know I'm a fan of Pepe, but what else are you comparing them by other than goals? If you think we should only go for wingers with better output than what Pepe had the season we bought him then the pool is incredibly small, no matter the size of our wallet.
Mudryk looks like he has the potential to reach beast levels physically. Like Bale did

Goals and transfer fee.
For mind Pepe's numbers were better compared to Mudryk and in a top5 UEFA domestic league, but I'm not so sure Mudryk is any better suited to our game than Pepe. I may be way off but both seem better when they have space on the ball on the counter, and for me that is not how we look to play for the majority of the game.
Toon making some noise as if they are going to make an effort to sign him in Jan.

He has much more drive than Pepe though and he's also much stronger physically.
If you guys watched clips of Martinelli a year ago you'd have heard the same feedback about how 'he's only good on the counter' etc.
This stuff can be developed. You sign a player based on his attributes not what he's currently doing.

we also had less control of the game because we didn't have Jesus and Zinchenko.
this is why it's important to appreciate a player's context. it's a bit like the TAA situation at Liverpool. Some indifferent Fabinho form and the loss of Mane have wreaked havoc on TAA. all of a sudden all the pundits are all over him like he suddenly stopped knowing how to defend.
Add in the Zinchenko factor and its a no brainer for this gut
This signing genuinely excites me. He's raw but so much fun to watch.
He’d be a bit of a statement signing.
Let's get this done Arsenal!
The Premier League paused for six weeks to make room for this winter World Cup with Arsenal top of the table, leaving many keen to discover if the January window will be used to help maintain what is an unexpected title bid.
Arsenal are prepared to do so if an opportunity arises that the club deem right for the long term, with the Kroenke family — their American owners — wanting to back now-sporting director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta.
Their priority target is Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk and sources with knowledge of the matter think there is a good chance it will happen, though nothing is agreed at present.
Shakhtar have stated their value for the highly-coveted Ukraine international as €100million (£85.9m, $105.3m) – but interested parties are of the understanding that a lower fee would be deemed acceptable.
Arsenal are among the clubs in touch with both Shakhtar and Mudryk’s representatives, with the 21-year-old known to be focused on moving to the Premier League and determined to make the Emirates Stadium his destination.
Brentford had a deal worth €25million in place last summer, when he was also on Arsenal’s radar, and his stock has since risen. It will ultimately come down to the price and while the north London club may have alternative possibilities, Mudryk is their focus.
i want to get him in, but what's the upper limit we should be spending? shakhtar are clearly in sell mode and are trying to publicly pump his price tag. he really shouldn't be going for more than 50-60m.
It's time for me to post my ITK source. I'm told this is pretty much in advanced stage and will be done in January. Fee is alot lower than 100m
