Was at the game with James yesterday, great that 20 shots on goal finally ended up in a thrashing for someone, which was always gonna happen at some point. Fantastic reset for the team after a tough week and all the more pleasing given that the majority of it happened without Bukayo Saka on the pitch (we can do it without him!) although the circumstances around him not being on the pitch are extremely aggravating.
The atmosphere in the Clock End was superb and being right behind Partey, as soon as he shot I knew where that ball was going, what a hit. Capped off a strong day in the middle of the park for the Ghanaian.
Obviously, delighted for Reiss Nelson too. Ben White is brilliant and Gabriel Jesus is a monster etc...
Funny too that our first goals came after a foul on Xhaka not given, with Tommy quickly winning the ball back and then a properly fantastic header from Martinelli.
Also, that centre back partnership - thought they were both excellent yesterday, it's so good to have such dominant, imposing personalities at the back. Best we've had since the Kolo/Sol axis of yesteryear.
