We made this match more difficult for ourselves than it otherwise would have been. It took us a whole half to figure out Ramsdale had to hit long instead of fucking around with the ball in our area.

I think we should have dropped deep and formed a compact block after our goal. This Leeds team isn't creative enough to break us down. At least they'd have found it very difficult to create chances. But instead we played a moronic highline when we know fully well we lacked the energy to press them - playing right into their hands. Those quick vertical passes behind our defence caused us all sort of problems and it's a wonder they didn't score.

I saw penalty and red card claims on here before it happened on my screen but soon as I saw the incident I didn't see how a penalty could be possible given the foul on Gabriel. Was worried about a red but even the kick out didn't connect. Wish we had VAR when van Horseface got Vieira sent off.

Couldn't argue with a red if he had been sent off , very lucky there . But again as good as he plays he always has these moments in games.
Also Arteta needed more proactive subs given the energy levels of some of our players. I'd have got Marquinos on , they were never really put on the back foot for that second half. Why didn't we change Jesus earlier ? Hope we haven't aggravated any niggles he had.

A red card could still have been given alongside a free kick to us. Really fucking snide from Bamford though, fucking snake, and Gabriel almost played right into his hands.

Fucking Chelsea and Spurs will definitely take note of that for later on this season.

Small sample size granted but effective 16/10/22 Gabriel Magalaes appears to be a clean sheet machine.

Mental game, big win. For all the good this season, it wouldn't take much for us to get dragged into a 4th place battle as our rivals are generally grinding out wins too. Punched the air when the final whistle went. 27 points, top of the league, boo yeah!

That second half was a tough watch. Proud we hung on for the win though.

This is what top teams do, they grind out wins even on their off days. Hopefully we don't make performances like this a habit though.

Thought Gabriel was our best defender today. Was majestic, shocked to see the amount of abuse on here when I came on.

Legit shocking given that the decision was actually wrong and rightly overturned. What's wrong with some people?

2/3 here. He did get upended, and Bamford also knew what he was doing, but Gabriel definitely kicked out. The problem is not the incident in isolation, but that Gabriel lets his emotions get the better of him. He's been proper shaky this season. Today was the worst of it.

Handball incident last week? I think we were very lucky to get away with it. Also his fuck up for their equaliser by attempting a kick instead of just dropping back and heading the ball. The 1st chance from Spurs or Liverpool came from a moronic pass from him into midfield.

Saliba is still earning, and he gets a pass due to his age and his brilliance in the other things he does.

Tomi is our best defender and should be one of the 1st names on the team sheet IMO. I hope we play a back four of White-Saliba-Tomi-Tierny/Zinchenko going forward.

Was the first half of football I've seen from us that reminded me of last season. We got totally overrun and completely collapsed in an offensive sense. That we held out is a credit to the team though.

I think Gabriel is judged harshly compared to all the other first choice defenders. The idea of change Ng our centre half's at the moment seems crazy to me. They were both great today despite Salibas big mistake. Midfield hung them out to dry all second half and they still got a clean sheet.

Big game from Ramsdale too. Easy MotM.
