Given the amount of pressure PGMOL have received in the last day, and with the PL looking to review VAR process, I'd like to think the refs are not going to do something stupid today.

Hopefully we aren't risking further injury. Not sure if we're at a stage of the season where we need to take any unnecessary risks.

That said, have no reason to believe that the medical team haven't done thier due diligence and if the players have been cleared to start - they're 100% or at least damn close to it.

My United supporting mate says Antony's in from the start - there's been a leak. Don't think it'll matter. I just don't think he's very good.

Tierney would probably handle Antony's trickery better, while Zinchenko helps more in midfield. Reckon Tierney would've played if Partey did.

I think Zinchenko would help us dominate the match to the point we don't need to be scared of their attackers.

Malacia is a very good defender 1v1 so we have to attack Dalot. Zinchenko will help that overload a lot.

I'm not surprised in so much as Tierney is less of an Arteta player than Zinchenko, however agree that it leaves us a bit more exposed defensively. Was rather hoping that Zinchenko would start to displace Xhaka but maybe as others have speculated, Arteta has taken Sambi's defensive weaknesses in mind.

Tactics

I hope we play a low block, stay very compact, press them mercilessly as soon as the come anywhere near the half line and then look to break quickly when we win the ball. We have a good chance to get at least a point if we don't naively leave ourselves open to counters.

At least on paper, getting that system we've got to work the left side back up and running with Zinchenko, Xhaka, Martinelli and Jésus feels good. Thing is, United will know exactly how it works now and will be looking for it.

Sort of expecting a textbook Arteta's Arsenal performance here which means a high octane start and hoping we rattle them and get an early breakthrough.
