Results are everything in this game. Results against the big teams, are massive, not just in terms of points, but also for the confidence of our own still quite young team. We have handed the confidence and momentum to Man U. And would have lost quite a bit of ours.

Can’t wait for Partey to get back though. Lokonga is decent, but gives us nothing extra in either attack or defense.

Looking like the team that has control for most of the game but couldn't score is a problem. That's where we have to prove ourselves this year because that has been the standard retort for us, when it's a big game we can't deliver and it's on us to prove that's changed its not there automatically.

Comparing this to the City result last season … it's another match where we pulled out a pretty good away performance but cheated ourselves through a combination of naive players and management.

We have gotten very good at working the ball in and around the opposition penalty area and creating half chances and openings. The players are on a wavelength and we often had United stretching and vulnerable. We played well. I don't agree chance creation was a problem. We wasted several great opportunities.

But the high line we played today with Lokonga in front of it was suicide. Not even going to blame any of the defenders as they were each individually humiliated by where Artetaball put them.

We should have had the intelligence and the coaching to give up a bit of territory and let United be the ones to become a bit anxious after we'd equalised—it had been hard enough up to that point.

This was a key game against a not really good --although on a winning streak-- ManU side. What is going to happen when we face Lpool or Chelsea? And I am not even talking about ManCity with a PlayStation player like Haaland

You're reducing the progress we've made to a melodramatic soundbite. Losing at Old Trafford doesn't suddenly make us shit. Obviously, results are important but unless you're a Liverpool or City, you don't win every game (and Liverpool have lost to United this season as it happens).

People who can just shrug off another sickening result in this fixture with an "onto the next one" absolutely boggle my mind.

There needs to be accountability and there needs to be ramifications. This was not good enough.

Ode is what he is. He’ll score some tap ins and play some neat football here and there and folks will begin acting like he’s the second coming of bergkamp once again. 3/4 of the player we need him to be.

Saka/Martinelli also both need competition for their spots and someone they can learn from. Too predictable for the most part.

Xhaka is Xhaka! 1/2 of the player we need in his position.

Arteta is what he is. Very good coach. But still very green and tactically will be taught a lot of lessons while he learns on the job. Let’s hope he is a quick study.

Ramifications? I agree with Neville. I’m more confident about top 4 after this game than our other 5 games. We played really good well and got robbed.

No need to make any drama about this. We are still top and we move forward. This was a smash and grab job.

sambi has denilson vibes. tidy little player, but doesn't have the wherewithal to be relied on at the 6. we're really exposed there now, we have to keep in touch with top 4 until November so we can address it

Spot on.

I would only add though that our chance creation is all for half/tight chances. Martinelli header and Odegaards fluff being the only two chances I really remember aside from the goal.

We seem incapable of building chances quickly that are more dangerous.

Hate losing to United, but I've got no idea what you mean here. What would the ramifications be?

We bottled it, should've scored a couple more and made stupid mistakes in defense. It's over now and it's time to look forward to our reaction against Everton.

That is something I will never be able to understand. Why a top tier team like Arsenal has to wait for his coach to "learn"? It's just madness

I agree with the subs. Arteta went for it. Plus Zinny and Ode could only last 70 mins as they were semi-fit.

We got a bit unlucky today, it happens but it was a fucking good display.
