Qwiss I think that's mainly because thus far Arteta has never been willing to deploy any of our defenders in midfield. If he actually followed through on his talk and used Timber in midfield sometimes (for example), our depth would be a lot better. I think we have a lot of versatility within the three lines (defence, midfield, attack) but less between them. I guess he's shown he's willing to use Havertz and once or twice Trossard across midfield and attack, and he did so with Vieira too. But he's only used midfielders in defence, never defenders in midfield to my recollection. Given we have so many defenders, that's a potential weakness
