only reason I'd sell an ESR is if he goes down the wilshere route of becoming unreliable health-wise or attitude-wise. the walcotts, oxs, iwobis, gibbs. AMNs. those guys, I take your point - when becomes apparent they've plateaued developmentally you should sell when there's a strong market for them and put it towards a higher class of player. ESR is in a bit of a different class to those guys imo, his age and skillset mean his trajectory could yet go parabolic

Think it's missing the point going on about how the players we want to sell "stopped delivering", next batch will go for higher fees etc.

Other clubs sell players who haven't delivered for them for much higher fees especially selling domestically. There's something seriously wrong with Fulham paying 10m for Pereira and 2m for Leno, even on Redcafe they were surprised they got anything at all.

Meanwhile we manage to negotiate additional bonuses for Leno if Fulham the quintessential yoyo club stay up.

Two tweets yesterday from James Benge. Basically Arteta iterating what I’ve been saying. You sell lots of unwanted players simultaneously, and your pricing will rank. This is basic economics.

Of course Arteta will say that, he'll hardly publicly dress Edu down for not getting fees especially when his own actions played a big part in dragging player values down.

In the end it doesn't matter one bit, this isn't 2010 we're a bankrolled club who cares what Kroenkes bottom line looks like. Just like on fees where I feel we overspend who cares as long as the players we get are decent and the football starts to improve.
