Drawn with PSV. Still have nightmares over being knocked out by them in the CL.
Europa League Draw 2022/2023 - Fri 25th at 12 GMT
Bodo/Glimt
To my surprise that's not two clubs who are yet to play but actually the name of a Norwegian side.
Group A: Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven, Bodo/Glimt, FC Zurich
hopefully we boo the shit out of van horseface. it's fuck ruud forever

You might remember them from beating Roma 6-1 last season, Mourinho's biggest ever loss. Fun with a Norwegian team at least, although they're all the way up north so it's basically the same flight length as to London, more expensive and harder to get tickets.
Oh damn, that was them? Are they actually pretty decent?

Didn't realise he was in charge of PSV. Should get Keown in our dugout for this game.
Easy draw. Should be a fun run out for some of the second string.

Really shouldn't be a problem for us. They lose their best players every season and have begun to feel the effects on having to replace them time and time again. They're not even currently the best Norwegian team. Usually raise their game in Europe but this group should be a walkover for us with plenty of games for our fringe players.
Really like the draw. PSV will be fun. It's a bit more challenging than we could have got, but will make Thursday nights more interesting.
That's actually not as easy as it looks. Bodo is a supremely well coached side although they lacked quality. Abit like Ostesunds when we drew them.
Zurich is the Swiss champions too. Basically we drew all the team that was supposed to be in the UCL but lost in the playoffs.
At least the travel's decent (except Norway). Switzerland and Netherlands are as good it gets from that standpoint. No Eastern European travel, thankfully.
I like it too. Seem like lovely travel excursions for the team and fans alike. Suggestion on here its a good base level of competition which should be welcomed. Captain Ø repping Arsenal in his homeland, extra spice for PSV.

I remember the last time we played PSV like it was yesterday. That fucking Gomes put in a MOM performance, we missed so many chances and they sucker punched us near the end I think. Koemann tactical master piece. That was the beginning of the end for Wenger.

I think we should rotate Ode in against them and Xhaka in against Zurich

I don't know about that, but I think I'm right in saying that second leg was Thierry's last game for us before leaving for Barcelona - he got injured having come on as a hail Mary sub. So it was definitely the end of him.
Was it also the match Alex had a stormer and announced himself to world football before moving to Chelsea?
Correct! He scored the goal that knocked us out too.
I might be mistaken but I remember it being a back injury for Henry at the time and him looking like he was barely able to move.

This is a weak group filled with canon fodder. You saw PSV struggle yesterday against Rangers. I would play Jesus in the first group game against PSV and rest him for the other 5. Same with Saka. Nketiah, Vieira, ESR and co will just need to show their cojones
