That's kind of what I reckon may happen, but was always of the opinion that so long as we can win our remaining games we'd be in with a shout given City have a very packed schedule and playing away from home in 3 of their last 4 or 5 PL games against the likes of Brighton and Brentford.
I believed wed finish around 90ish points anyways when BW made that jinx thread but assumed we'd beat Southampton, West Ham, Forest, Brighton and Wolves to get us to 88 points and then getting another 2-4 points out of the Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool games. Unfortunately those dropped points at West Ham and Southampton make us need to be perfect across our last 5 games.
Started well winning against both chelsea and Newcastle and need to carry on in the last 3. We just need to make sure we get full points out of our remaining games otherwise this discussion is moot.
