Commentator on my feed was quite apt in pointing out that Jesus's attitude towards pressing from the front seems to have rubbed off on Martinelli.

Our right side bias from last season seems to have shifted to the left this season. Jesus prefers drifting left and obviously Zinchenko's ability on the ball have contributed to this.

Great performance all in and when Saks/Ode up their levels to match last season we'll be in a really good spot.

I’m sure it’s helped but Martinelli has always pressed incredibly well

Yeah if we bring in top top quality in our next set of recruitment we should be ready to give them a proper challenge. We are well poised.

Maddison was great today. He'd be a great addition.

Great attacking football display. Lots of really good positions being taken and Leicester couldn't handle it.

Couple of individual errors got them back into the game but what I really like was we didn't hesitate/sit back at all after that and were still really positive in our play and extended the lead again.. Something we were lacking last season

The final form is taking shape and it's looking pretty sweet, it's got to be obvious now the attacking football Arteta wants to play

Loved what a handful he was. Evans was terrified, and he worked most of their backline over at least once.

Love that Jesus gave Eddie a shout out in the post match interview. There's a great vibe at the club at the moment and the players need to ride this momentum.

If you want to reach their level, I think we are one world class RB, one world class winger and one world class CM away.

The more I think about it Paqueta would be pretty perfect for how we want to play. Imagine its him on the end of those balls Xhaka reached today.

no he wasn't and no he wouldn't be. with better passing he could have put vardy through a couple times and his goal was a result of shit goalkeeping. he had no business scoring from there.

My thoughts too.

I actually thought Zinchenko looked mediocre again in defense, and that's with him being helped by Xhaka. With someone like Paqueta ahead, I worry about Zinchenko. He was all over the place for Maddison's goal - in no man's land to begin with, poor in recovery, and did too little in our box.

There were some other moments too....just the most memorable one for me.

His off the ball running and the timing of it is very impressive with the license he has been given to go forward now.

It's a little concerning how critical Partey is to this structure though.

If you are worried then get a proper B2B player there. Xhaka is a clear weakness for me, unagile and slow on the turn in advanced areas.

Someone like Barella would be amazing.

King Jesus is the surest signing we've made since Sol Campbell. He had an excellent record at City for a manager who's positionally rigid, and isn't a strong proponent of using strikers. He's the perfect front man who can both create and score goals.

I don't know which comment will age quicker, that he won't score double digit goals in the league or that Richarlison is better.
