I didn't comment on his command of the box and kicking because I didn't see enough to conclude that. Doesn't mean he wasn't good for those though.

He would be a more than capable backup IMO. Which is why I said if Ramsdale don't buck up this guy given an opportunity can challenge.

Nice if he has a bit of height. Ospina was a decent keeper in all fairness, just pretty shit in the air. Not expecting miracles from this guy but if he can be a decent backup for the EL and cup games then it allows us to cover the loss of Leno.

Yeah definitely, not sure what people is complaining about. He is also a huge Arsenal fan and only started football at 16 so quite an inspiring story. Keeper is a position that can be good in any league you play anyway, won't be that far off from his own quality.

I particularly like his positional sense and how he makes himself very big with good saving technique. Funnily enough shot stopping technique was the main criticism I had of Ramsdale which unfortunately he displayed quite a bit in the 2nd half of the season.

I think this relates to my secondary point that I think we can be quite critical of reserve 'keepers. Ospina was a decent GK, not perfect as we all know but a very capable deputy. I'm not saying that you were of this opinion but I definitely remember there being plenty of contempt for him despite the fact he was perfectly serviceable as a reserve.

Mentioned on prev. page the talent was there but wasn't sure how he is going to further develop under brighter lights. Excellent showing at the cup, building from his last gold cup from what I saw then. Trending well to be one of our more exceptional value-for-money signings.

Need to keep him relatively active with appearances now, especially in case he needs to be called upon as a mainstay. Hope not as would imply things went wrong. Depends on whether Ramsdale is going to show more focus inconsistencies in 2023, or be unable to mitigate his thigh/hamstring issue

Another good performance tonight. I thought he looked a bit wobbly when he first came in but he looks pretty assured now. Very decisive today in sweeping and on set pieces.
