Qwiss yeah, Wiltord was always a better winger than striker for us. Was really good out wide actually, been watching a lot of old games on the souster98 YouTube channel (recommend you all follow).

I think he's massively overrated by Arsenal fans. I get people love the hustle and flair, but we need a striker who can put it in the back of the net. I really do like having him in the squad but I think he's one of the weakest links in the XI these days.

We don't get enough from center forward. Ivan Toney in January, please.

Coombs people are overreacting, Jesus just had a superb game against PSV but his miss in the 2nd half was really the turning point.

I'm sympathetic to idea of Jesus being upgraded on, he's great when he's on it but his form goes up and down quite a bit. We seen it here last season and we've seen it for years at City. I'm not sure I think Toney is that upgrade though, and I quite like Toney.

Yeah Toney would be nice, but feels there's a huge risk taking a guy who has stopped playing professional football for such a long time and launching him back into it.

In an ideal world, we would have a top class striker up front (we know what that truly looks like), Jesus would be our second choice and Eddie would be playing for Sheffield Utd.

But I get it. Kane left. Liverpool have an ageing Salah, City have Haaland, and that's it for the entire premier league when it comes to strikers. It's a sad state of affairs in that department for world football in general.

The trouble with Jesus is that making a mess of defences, putting himself about vigorously and missing a few easy chances is as good as he gets. He's very useful, but he doesn't get better than this.

When Saka is jaded and Martinelli and Trossard are simultaneously injured, we are relatively toothless. Spurs shut down Ødegaard and there was no one else to back Saka up in the end.

Burnwinter xG and chances created saw that we are pretty much 10th again for a lot of those metrics. First 2 seasons Arteta was 2nd last in those and last year we were top 4.

Says he feels 100% again and I think you can see it. He wasn't really amazing yesterday but he kept plugging away and trying things, never hid. Right wings obviously not his best position but I think against lesser opponents he can do a job there.

He wasn't but I still thought he was our best attacking player by a distance (at least of those who started), he was the only one who was continually available and able to receive and retain the ball and carried a lot of our threat in the second half too. I think he's probably our best wide player after Martinelli and Saka (though I'm not convinced playing him wide when those two are out, with Eddie at CF, is necessarily our best option).

Think he did well enough that we can rest Starboy from time to time.

Pepe LeFrits Yeah he was but its not like Leo and Eddie were pulling up trees. Eddie was better once Martinelli came on but he's a player who needs service. The thing about Jesus is he doesn't, he'll drop deep and go find the ball and thats what I'm praising him for yesterday, although I prefer that on the wing than up front. Sometimes he can do it a little too quick when he's CF.

Trossard was a massive disappointment though, he wasn't doing what Jesus was doing at all, he just disappeared. I wouldn't have minded him going to CF when Martinelli came on either, I think he's better when he has someone to go beyond him but I don't think Arteta was willing to take the drop off in pressing. The difference when Martinelli came on was night and day.

Agree. I think someone in the match thread described Trossard as a tight spaces player and that's spot on. He doesn't really have the pace to threaten going past or in behind the full-back so he struggles to carry the ball up the pitch on the flank the way Saka or Martinelli do.
