If you read the article, the headline seems pretty clickbaity. The specific sentence referenced says that we might sell Gabriel Jesus or Eddie Nketiah. Reminiscent of clickbait articles last summer stating we might sell Eddie Nketiah or Folarin Balogun. Technically correct, the best kind of correct.

For what it's worth, I have it on very good authority that we're looking to move on from either Martin Odegaard or Mohamed Elneny this summer. Make of that what you will.

Yeah and some of the points this summer was he would be able to focus on getting healthy didn't have a tournament could fully get himself ready for the season. You can't carry someone like him with the wages he has, given his reliability. Arteta has been very ruthless on other parts of the team and we need to show that with some of the players he may privately like or have counted on.

RowJimmy I think we probably shouldn't have gone into this summer counting on him and been looking to move him on because we know the player he is and hoping that it will be different is a big risk for building a squad to run at the title

My point is that, precisely for the reasons you want him gone, we can only move him on by buying out his contract at full value.

RowJimmy fair but when arteta has taken that position with others they are just cut out. I think we would have to accept a low fee which I would be willing to accept to get a decent squad in place as I agree no one is paying him what we did now.

mohan — that’s my main concern too. I can forgive him for not having pace, or struggling to creat goals himself, but he’s not even close to contributing to the team’s play or success.
