Which interview are you watching? He speaks better English than some of the English lads we've had through the doors.

Anyway.

Very happy this is done and now we can move onto other targets - of which I'm sure there are many. I think Jesus really could have a transformational effect on our attack - it might be a bit like his namesake's trick with the two fish and five loaves of bread..

romano says we fobbed off 3 other clubs who were trying pretty much until the end to gazump us. Chelsea and spurs were deffo 2 of them. maybe barca the third?

Well TBF to Laca he came into the tougher league and instantly scored 14 league goals, which is equal to Jesus best ever PL season. They are about the same level so far IMO, hopefully Jesus can step it up a level here and do better than Laca.

Anyway whats not close is 2022 Jesus vs 2022 Laca.

Whilst it's great he chose us over others, let's not kid ourselves; he would have played a lesser role at all of those clubs, which with a World Cup to prepare for would not have helped him.

I don't want to be overly cynical but I'd have been surprised if he'd chosen anyone else.

He's had issues everywhere but this is exaggerated. He might've tried to sell Eto'o but he had his best ever season in 2009, Agüero had plenty of good seasons with Guardiola, Lewandowski started hitting his peak under him etc. Jesus might have not had the perfect environment for a striker but all of Guardiola's forwards everywhere have scored shitloads.

Pretty much. I'm inclined to let it pass since it's Spurs but it's pretty embarrassing how Reddit and Twitter Arsenal ignore that Jesus would've been Kane's backup when talking about Jesus preferring us to them.
