Uhm, why do you think he got injured? That was his first start in 3 weeks. If he had played 100mins in each of their first two games he'd probably be fine.

yeah I agree moukoko would be very nice to get but feels likes he may chase the biggest offer and be like Lewandowski and join Bayern for free. as a cheaper option, i think dules is right that embolo can give us more of a physical target man type of forward.

Other options could be Gakpo/Xavi Simons. Could also look at marcus thuram or kolo muani from frankfurt 😆 jones don't kill me.

Kolo Muani would be perfect for Arsenal, would fit the team like a glove. Zero chance of him moving this winter though with the club in 4th and CL Ro16 and very little chance of him leaving next summer after just a year at the club

It's an intriguing situation.

I've never felt we have a shot at the league title, but our morale and progress have been buoyed by Arteta insisting on very high standards and ambitions. A less than committed response from KSE and our leadership team in the transfer market might be a signal of weakness that disproportionately affects us.

A signing like Mudryk or Embolo (or anyone) will not solve the problem of Jesus's absence. Seems there's basically no player we can sign who replaces him like for like? But I think we need a statement signing either way to kick on and preserve the charismatic, joyous momentum we've had this season.

Marcus Thuram please. Right age profile, can play upfront and can also eventually play on the wings as well. I had anyway wishlisted him for a Jan transfer, now it is perhaps critical. Mudryk may be a little bit too raw to start as soon as he moves to the EPL. I agree that this won't really give us a shot at the title, but it's the kind of signing that should cement Top 4 for us. Let's push Mudryk to the summer.

Is this based on what people see for Werder Bremen or only based on the WC? He's 29 (30 in a couple of months) and never seen anyone mention that they want him before.
