Would be unusual for Gabi given he actually played a fair bit last time and he has only gotten better since. Maybe the view is it’s too much too soon for him in a competitive area of the pitch.

It’s odd for all 3 to be absent. It is possible that Edu asked for them to be excused. It could be that the manager is comfortable with all 3 as options.

Wish there was an official channel where you could post apology letters. Ridiculed this signing quite a bit but he’s been A class till date.

It's really nice to see how much of a success he's been and that everyone feels the same (hence why I think this thread has been so quiet 😆 ).

That being said, there's still room for improvement. I want to see those mazy dribbles converted into goals!

Overall though, fantastic signing based on what he's brought to the team in terms of attitude and his capacity to knit the frontline together.

I do remember Klaus saying why bother signing him when we have Eddie. Not sure there were any other naysayers during the summer though.

I was not impressed by this signing at the time. Given how he played for City, I never knew how good his hold-up and link-up play was. Really didn't think he would cut it as a focal point for us. Boy was I wrong! He's been amazing in practically every facet of the game. Hopefully he never breaks down and keeps it up for the entire season. If so, it'll be a great one for us!

To be fair the whole forum's dead these days.

His link up has been a revelation. Bit wasteful in front of goal but not worried at all he's been a great signing, still hope to see more of Eddie in the coming weeks.

I'm sure I saw someone else say signing him for £45m was a sackable offence.

He's been as transformative as I thought he would be, probably even better than I hoped. I hadn't realised how well he could dribble with the ball at feet, not a quality we've had at centre forward for a very long time. And the attitude he's brought with him is top class.

Yep would be good to ensure a steady stream of minutes for Nketiah, starting with tomorrow night. Those dummies last weekend reminded me a little of prime Suarez. You can see with some the recent fouls on him that defenders become ever more anxious of his presence and threat. Immense signing on relatively small sample still, and looking significantly better value than Richarlison, Sterling, Anthony, Nunez forwards signed by rivals. He would have been transformational to that Chelsea team.
