Do people think that Jesus will predominantly play as CF or will his position be more fluid? The fact he's stated his preference for playing on the wings is the one bit that makes me wonder what we've agreed with him and what our plan is for him.

Will probably roam around a bit but absolutely has to play striker. If he isn't going to it makes even less sense to prioritize Raphinha.

he has to be our first choice 9, and we have to support and persist with him in that position. dont want to see him play there for a month or two, not score much, then be shunted to the wing. everyone involved with the signing deserves sacking if thats how this goes.

hopefully he sees this as his platform to show he has what it takes as a main striker

Buying a CF who relies heavily on the setup is not the best choice, I think. Richarlison scored 10 goals last season while Everton was the last but one team on big chances.

But yeah, don't know about him....he looks like he will do well with his passing, pressing and vision...but finishing is his weak point. We need both, we don't create enough but also our finishing is shit, so he will help with half of that...
