I understand the concerns about his build - he's crazy skinny for a pro footballer. But I'm not sure I get the point about his risky passes. What I've read suggested that was a specific strength of his (ie. completing low percentage passes) and if you're concerned about our lack of creativity/variety, I'd argue that that's a massive boost to have in the team (and I imagine that's a big factor in the purchase).
Watch the video I linked to in the previous page Don. I think that's one of the few all touch comps I've seen of him
Still a bit raw but showing talent in a big European fixture is positive. I wonder if playing with three forwards will give him more options creatively.
I don’t mind a player giving the ball away if it’s trying to be direct. We just need to learn to counterpress really well so that we win it back quickly.
I don't mind him being a risky passer, whatever that means. it's one of the things that stood out in the compilations, he always seems to attempting forward passes. given how stale artetas football can be, it's a good quality to have
And we have lots of pace now and players who like to run in behind so he will have plenty of options to choose from.
tale as old as time...
It’s just a fashion thing
Back in full training, from the photos looks like he needs add a few of muscles on....
Can't wait to see how this guy fits in
Hopefully he's on the bench and we're in a comfortable position around 70 minutes or so (2/3 goal advantage) and we can give him a few minutes. Would be a nice boost for the home crowd as well. Home debuts for attacking signings always boost the atmosphere and contribute to the feel good factor - still remember the Pepe debut at home to Burnley. The crowds excitement was great to observe.

My initial take was that he is basically paper and will get crushed.
But looking at Bernardo Silva, that dude ain't no heavyweight either.
Yeah he’s fine - doesn’t need to bulk up. Would lose parts of his game if he did

Similar thing was said about David Silva when he first moved to England. He did not end up doing badly.
Great to see you back Mental
David Silva & Bernado Silva both had more muscular builds imo. Silva in particular like Cazorla were very hard to knock off the ball.
Cultured and talented as Vieira is, he’s very green. Watch some vs all touch clips and you’ll soon see
Yeah he’ll get caught on the ball and clattered quite a few times while he adapts. But he’s got good abc’s.
on Xhaka’s importance in our system… He’s there to play the role that we want and Granit has certain characteristics, but we can develop other characteristics because he has ability to do it, and when Fabio Vieira plays in that position he will have a different role because his qualities are different, and it’s the same with Martin, so the team has to adapt, but the players as well have to play with an eye on the goal and the feeling that they want to score.
I found this encouraging from Arteta post-match. I definitely think he has his eye on Fabio Vieira in that left 8 role.
