Who do we want to win the FA Cup final? Definitely one of those where it's a shame they can't both lose. Personally probably prefer not to play the Community Shield (which we would as league runners up if City win the double) so we don't start next season being humiliated and everyone's laughing stock on day 1, and also don't want City winning the treble. But hoping for a United win also feels sickening and if they do a cup double along with getting back into the CL the pundits (Neville and co etc) will all legitimately claim they had a better season than us and use that as yet another reason to discredit our whole season (which they didn't expect us to finish in the top 4) as a "failure." Tough one where I don't really want either outcome. Probably marginal preference for United to get embarrassed then City to lose the CL final.

It would be better for football if City stopped winning things, but it feels a bit better to lose the title against an unstoppable, treble-winning cheating machine that nobody really cares about.

City to win tomorrow.

Why? I share the same thoughts as others on here:

1) I don’t want Man Utd cunts to say they’ve had a better season than us
2) If City win, we play them in the Charity Shield with a chance to win a trophy (yes, technically it a trophy) which means it very slightly takes the pressure off winning something next year - last won trophy in 2023 v 2020 sounds much better. Plus a win v City going into the season could be great for belief/momentum etc
3) If city win tomorrow you won’t really hear about it. If Utd win then it’s going to be an obnoxious summer
4) I want to see Bruno Fernandes cry
5) I want to see Man Utd fans cry

Then the question is whether you want City to win CL or not. My heart says Inter but my head says City so Man Utd fans get pissed off and it diminishes their 99 heroics.

On the football WhatsApp chat, my Chelsea supporting friends for the last 10 years have said they are a bigger club than Arsenal because of two CL’s etc but been bizarrely backed up by Utd fans.

By the same token, if City win treble I’m going to say they are bigger than Man Utd and Chelsea!

It's astonishing to see the praise toward Ten Hag and Man United. One of the worst league losses in history against their bitter rival , completely bottled the 2nd leg of a European quarter final. and not a single away win to a top 9 club. Had to shell out for 6 starters in the summer and winter with just the easiest gifted League cup in quite some time to show for it. Oh and I thought they were in a title race?

For some reason Arsenal's season is being met with harsher evaluation for how it the came short, when none of these cretins could identify the foundations and potential at the start of the season. Something like the opposite going on with United.
