I've never been interested in who gets relegated save for the times Stoke and Sunderland were down there and I was hoping they'd go down. I do want Everton and Leeds to go down this time though.

Yeah, keep forgetting Real are out and that's its gonna be a walkover probably. Still one can hold out hope that Inter can pull off an upset and continue Pep's failures in Europe.

Burnwinter him leaving did screw them over, though I do feel they were headed this way regardless. He couldn't stomach the stacked odds and saw it coming.

Pep says going to Ake and Akanji at LB this season helped him dominate and made him defensively more solid. Sly shot at Cancelo and Zinchenko.

Specially mentioned Saka, Vini and Martinelli that you need defenders to actually defend against them and he learned that this season.

yeah he can outsmart himself sometimes, but his willingness to change is a great quality. wenger's arrogance about his style of play is what caused him unnecessary problems. unfortunately arteta looks to be more wenger than pep.

Wenger changed plenty. He was quite tactically adaptable. Much like Pep he changed things without losing the identity behind it all.

Yep, Wenger changed up his starting 11 more than Arteta - even towards the end.

His stubbornness was to do with the style of play and the mentality of the team but he knew how to refresh the squad over a season*.

*Except for Fabregas who he drove into the ground.

Did it to Ramsey and others too by the end. We had a poor record for injury for years there.

Ramsey never played as much as Fabregas - he generally made around 35-45 appearances a season at his peak. Fabregas was playing 45-50 games a season from 2005 till 2009. Not to mention he was only 18 and was given the armband too on top of everything else.

Haven't checked, but this was because he was injured, surely? He'd get muscle injuries with great consistency after Christmas.

Clrnc You're right! I thought it said younger than 23 but it was actually "23 or younger."

Though, in my opinion it's a bit silly that 24-year-olds can win that award.
