Lot of negativity from Arsenal fans towards Allardyce (understandably so) but I still have a fair bit of respect for what he's done in his career. Interestingly (and maybe this is common knowledge) I heard an interview relatively recently with someone who'd written a book about how statistics had transformed football management and he pointed out that a lot of the techniques/alternative perspectives that data can provide in football were pioneered by Big Sam.
Name has been muck since the England job but taking Leeds on isn't a bad appointment for him if he can take them back into the PL within a year.
