He's the one responsible for Spurs getting smashed 5–0 in the northeast, with a squad in rough shape and morale at all time lows. No one else. Spent all he wanted, too.

If Conte was the wrong choice, then of course Levy should be held to account just like Conte for signing the wrong players. Conte didn't force his way into the club.

If you think for a moment about Conte's track record, his record at Spurs last season, the huge bankroll he was given in summer, and even Spurs' progress this season right up to the final hour of his theatrical, grifting mega-flounce, you'll see that logic is untenable. Sometimes people are simply responsible for their shitty behaviour. Anyone did that at an organisation I worked I certainly wouldn't be blaming the owners.

I think several of us on here predicted this when he joined. If we can see it coming, Levy should have too.

Conte was completely backed. They gave him 200m over the 12 odd months he was there.

I see our former target Isak is impressing. Been a bit injured but 10 league goals in 15 games.

Don't agree, he's always been a thespian but I've never seen him stage a meltdown to get a payout 10 matches from season's end while not even in a sackable position before.

And yes I'm one of the ones who's despised him since his Chelsea days and would've been aghast had he ever come near Arsenal.

It's probably just because Conte views Spurs are a non-entity - he couldn't do it at Chelsea or Inter because he'd risk damaging his own reputation. Whereas Spurs are a punching bag now.

Conte was a desperate move by Levy because he's failed to make anything of having one of the clubs greatest ever players and record goal scorer over the last few years. You know what you get with Conte, he'll win most clubs a trophy but he'll also salt the field before leaving. Spurs managed to get the saltiest field of his career and no trophy.

Is that because we've played more games than City therefore picked up more points? Although I still would have thought City made the same number of points as we have since then as we went into the WC 5 points ahead and are currently still 5 points ahead but having played 2 more games.

Ah ok, so there were games between Nov 5th and when the league took a break for the WC. Makes sense then. Just thought with the WC starting on the 19th or so of November that we'd have taken a break a couple weeks before that meaning there wasn't much room for games between those dates.
