Wow, whatever happens you can't say things haven't fallen our way. Best first half of a season, some of the other rivals totally off it and city dropping points nearly whenever we do. It has similar feel to the Leicester season so far.

mohan yeah, but they played way better than they have all season on the back of having a new manager on the touch line. We are allowed an off day. This team will need to learn how to win on an off day and it will come with time. It will help if City keep floundering.

To be fair Spurs at WHL are to City what Everton at Goodison are to us, there was always a good chance spurs would not spurs it up today.

Let off today, then again Spurs are City's bogey team so not entirely unexpected.

daredevil I think a lot of their players are getting to the point where they are on the down from their peak. Easy to blame Haaland but I think they need some fresh blood in their squad.

Also Haaland will be fine, it can take time to get used to Pep's style of football. Then again some very good players never did adapt!

I find this an absurd situation, but there's no denying it'll be a big drama up to summer and beyond if bringing in the centre forward who breaks all records also means ending City's winning run in the league.

It'll drag in all sorts of annoying character and tactical assessments for Guardiola and Haaland and generally be a delight.

JazzG agree with that. I think Haalands an easy target but they brought him in while letting Jesus, Zinchenko and Sterling all go. Now in January they've let Cancelo go. There is a lot more going on there than Haaland not fitting or whatever, any team would be better with Haaland. Its all the other stuff thats gone wrong for them.

Well my point was more they got the results that's what counts in the end and found a way to do it when then rest of the teams slipped up. We are playing well but I would not have guessed we see Liverpool and Chelsea collapse as they have in a similar vein to that season. Clearly we had an exceptional first half of the season and if we keep it up for the second half there will be no question. But if we have a few more games like the Everton one but escape without too much damage that's when you know your lucks in.
