Bernard Woolley Distinctly remember both Arsenal and Everton having new managers (Arteta and Ancelotti) respectively in their game in December 2019 (I guess both were watching from the stands having been appointed but not yet taken over).

Weren’t Ferguson and Ljungberg technically in charge? It was one of the worst football matches I’ve ever watched. Interestingly, Big Dunc is 2nd favourite for the job behind Sean Dyche. Desperate times for them.

I don't think it's staged to be fair, the two of them are just argumentative by nature. You could see Carragher starting to lose his cool on the Everton segment. The two of them care too much about being seen as knowledgeable to come out with click bait material.

I also think Carragher is a good pundit and I'm not just saying that because he said we're playing the best football in Europe along with Napoli. May not always be right with his conclusions but he at least tries to look beyond the superficial nonsense like most pundits do.

Neville has always had this sneering attitude towards us, but it's gone into overdrive because Arsenal fans have been taking the piss out of his more ludicrous comments over the last 12 months. He's desperate to be right and is gambling big on us collapsing so he can say I told you so - because the alternative means he looks like the biggest mug on TV.

It's not staged to the extent that they're reading a script but, as with almost all 'celebrities', they're effectively playing a character that hopefully attracts eyeballs. Fortunately for Neville, he's been training to be an unlikeable cunt all his life.

I agree on Carragher being a better pundit - put him next to Henry and Micah Richards on the Champions League show that he does and he comes across as much more relaxed and more interested in being entertaining than knowledgeable. I'd much rather have ex-footballers share their own personal anecdotes and experiences rather than make predictions.

My sense is that they're moderate amount genuine opinions and personal biases on display, say even in that clip but that everyone is basically handed structural talking points, agendas and 'must not say' stipulations. The Murdoch lines. Institutionalised to point of parody on ESPN as the American users on here would probably know better. To recent discussions, I wonder if inhabiting this environment is whats led Martin Tyler's charisma to crumble beyond a point to which he can wholly rehumanise himself. Very drony now and shit agendas (Arteta behaviour, Saka fouling, etc)

What some of these people including Neville need to realise is that Arsenal winning the league is going to fix the UK economy. Feel it in my bones.
