It's so hard to build cases which meet evidence thresholds and the conviction rates for sexual crimes are so low that I think it's dangerous to blindly accept someone is innocent if no further action is taken. It's also unfair to assume someone is guilty when they have not been convicted.
It's a horrible situation and, wrongly perhaps, if it is Partey and he's cleared I'd likely rather we got shot of him because of this. I don't think I'd want that question mark hanging over someone I'd be having to support and wish the best of each week.
It's more complex than that of course, depends on what information is known, how far investigations progress, aggravating factors and all that. But broadly, I'd be uncomfortable with someone in our team having been in that position. I also didn't want Bissouma even if cleared, and it's still not clear to me whether he is innocent or not.
