Don't see how there can be any argument that the VAR process is subject to tremendous biases and conflicts. There's very poor consistency in when it's used, how it's used, or what it decides. It's partly because of the complexity of football laws and decisions, and partly because of the weird, uber-discretionary black box pageantry they've created around it, which far exceeds that of reviews in cricket, line calls in tennis etc. It's a fucked system that needs urgent reform.
