More and more sold Clrnce. Anything less than fourth for us, fax that pre contract to Potter please. Though there is something great and endearing about what he’s doing with Brighton; looks a pretty fulfilling post even medium term.

He’s done well but only one top ten finish with him? They do play nice football but their real success is that they recruit very well and are a solid professional club which helps, really good foundations.

Potter has them collectively playing above their ability as individuals. One wouldn't be wrong to assume that these players may lack the quality to play attacking football. He is a top manager. May be he will fail at a bigger club. Some managers work better at smaller clubs but he sure does deserve a shot. I just hope he isn't marked for Tottenham once Conte invariably leaves.

You’re not sold? He’s going to be quite good for them I feel. Pre season debut was strong, numbers today aren’t all that bad. Missed the first half though.

They play great football with average players. He's a very good coach.

You can see the same roles in pretty much identical spaces on the pitch - which makes for good direct comparisons between what our guys and theirs are doing (obviously allowing for the higher overall quality and experience level etc.).
