Have to say I watched a few Porto matches and never quite noticed him before. Probably because of they so many of such small agile players on the pitch like him and Vitinha.

Turns out that our interest in a Porto player is true but not Vitinha like the papers are guessing but him.

And also ArsenalHorse who said the medical to be tomorrow.

Watching the compilation, he reminds me of this Portugese AM Hugo Viana stylistically, but a better version of him.

Also found it interesting that the Portugese paper that broke this exclusive scoop also mentioned that United is not the english club that bid for Vitinha for 40m euros.

And we paid Fabio Vieira's release clause which is also 40m euros which is why everything gone so fast although Romano said the release clause is 50m euros. He is quoting the Portuguese paper though as source.

Match comps have me thinking he'll work towards being a left sided 8, not too different from what Odegaard plays. He's got some great vision and ball retention, Martinelli and Tierney will be far more dynamic with him vs Xhaka.

That said, dear god we'll be asking a lot of Partey. He'll be our only midfielder who gets deep and can defend.

We need a more physical player at CM / DM position. Pace and power needed. This guy isn't enough.

Wouldn't say wishlisted but he's looked really impressive the couple of times I've watched Porto in recent times. No idea why we're looking to sign someone to play in Odegaards place, only other position he plays is LW which is also more than adequately covered
