cursory internet scouting does appear to show that he often operates in the same zones as odegaard. I'm hoping this isn't just random depth, and we have a plan to deploy him in a needed area like left cente mid

He is absolutely amazing. One of the best players to ever come out of Porto academy. In Portugal they say he is a hybrid of Kaka and Deco, but a better version of both of them.

Porto fans are furious, they thought he would fetch over 150m.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. At the same time seems like a weird risk to go for this guy who doesn't even play CM instead of Tielemans for the same price.
