It was top top quality. The technique needed for that is not something that you learn. It's innate.
I stopped participating in Eduardo discussions because it almost felt like I was seeing things that weren't there whenever I heard others dismiss him like he was some sort of middling to decent footballer. Of all the lost ones (players who never really made it here for whatever reason), his is the career of which I most wonder about what might have been.
He had what Dules refers to as Pausa for a striker. Not in terms of vision, but in terms of finishing. I always felt that one v ones with him were more 90-10 in his favor, than 60-40s or whatever the actual percentages are for an average striker. The keeper was almost always at his mercy. Ice cool finisher. And strong for his size. Deceptively quick too.
